- Hintergrund
- Nth, also known as Endonuclease III, has an apurinic and/or apyrimidinic endonuclease activity and a DNA N-glycosylase activity. This enzyme incises damaged DNA at cytosines, thymines and guanines. Nth acts on a damaged strand, 5' from the damaged site. This enzyme is required for the repair of both oxidative DNA damage and spontaneous mutagenic lesions. Recombinant E.coli nth protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography. Synonyms: Endonuclease III, b1633, JW1625, DNA-(apurinic or apyrimidinic site) lyase. NCBI no.: NP_416150
