This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-SPIC antibody (Catalog #: ARP39882_P050). It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.
SPIC controls the development of red pulp macrophages required for red blood cells recycling and iron homeostasis. SPIC is a transcription factor that binds to the PU-box, a purine-rich DNA sequence (5'-GAGGA[AT]-3') that can act as a lymphoid-specific enhancer. SPIC regulates VCAM1 gene expression.
