This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-ADAR antibody (Catalog #: ARP36712_P050). It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.

ADAR
(Adenosine Deaminase, RNA-Specific (ADAR))
Hintergrund
ADAR is responsible for RNA editing by site-specific deamination of adenosines. This enzyme destabilizes double stranded RNA through conversion of adenosine to inosine. Mutations in this gene have been associated with dyschromatosis symmetrica hereditaria. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. This gene encodes the enzyme responsible for RNA editing by site-specific deamination of adenosines.
