A synthetic peptide for use as a blocking control in assays to test for specificity of GLS2 antibody, Alternative Names: GLS2 control peptide, GLS2 antibody Blocking Peptide, Anti-GLS2 Blocking Peptide, Glutaminase 2 Blocking Peptide, GA Blocking Peptide, GLS Blocking Peptide, LGA Blocking Peptide, MGC71567 Blocking Peptide, hLGA Blocking Peptide
GLS2 is a mitochondrial phosphate-activated glutaminase that catalyzes the hydrolysis of glutamine to stoichiometric amounts of glutamate and ammonia. This protein is functionally similar to the kidney glutaminase but is a little smaller in size. Originally thought to be liver-specific, this protein has been found in other tissues as well.
