A synthetic peptide for use as a blocking control in assays to test for specificity of LGALS8 antibody, Alternative Names: LGALS8 control peptide, LGALS8 antibody Blocking Peptide, Anti-LGALS8 Blocking Peptide, Lectin Galactoside-Binding Soluble 8 Blocking Peptide, Galectin 8 Blocking Peptide, Gal-8 Blocking Peptide, PCTA-1 Blocking Peptide, PCTA1 Blocking Peptide, Po66-CBP Blocking Peptide, LGALS8, LGALS-8, LGALS 8, LGALS-8 Blocking Peptide, LGALS 8 Blocking Peptide
LGALS8 is a member of the galectin family. Galectins are beta-galactoside-binding animal lectins with conserved carbohydrate recognition domains. The galectins have been implicated in many essential functions including development, differentiation, cell-cell adhesion, cell-matrix interaction, growth regulation, apoptosis, and RNA splicing. This gene is widely expressed in tumoral tissues and seems to be involved in integrin-like cell interactions.
