    Hintergrund
PINK1 is a serine/threonine protein kinase that localizes to mitochondria. It is thought to protect cells from stress-induced mitochondrial dysfunction. Mutations in this protein cause one form of autosomal recessive early-onset Parkinson disease. Recombinant human PINK protein was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
