This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-H6PD antibody ( ARP51206_P050). It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.

Background Information: There are 2 forms of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase. G form is X-linked and H form is autosomally linked. This H form shows activity with other hexose-6-phosphates, especially galactose-6-phosphate, whereas the G form is specific for glucose-6-phosphate. Both forms are present in most tissues, but H form is not found in red cells. There are 2 forms of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.
