Mediates resistance to sphinganine-analog mycotoxins (SAMs) by restoring the sphingolipid biosynthesis. Could salvage the transport of GPI-anchored proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus in ceramides-depleted cells after SAM exposure (By similarity).
