Hintergrund: Prostaglandin E1 is a major regulatory prostaglandin that exerts most of its biological activity through modulation of cAMP concentration. PGE1 has also been shown to be a potent vasodilator, inhibit platelet aggregation, and regulate protein kinase C (PKC).
