Spezifität: The rat monoclonal antibody LMR-42 detects an outer-surface epitope of a 55 kDa plasma membrane protein over-expressed in several human non-Pgp multidrug-resistant (MDR) tumor cell lines. LMR-42 has potential value for the detection of EPCR, which may mediate anti-coagulant and anti-inflammatory functions along vascular endothelia. Whether and how anti-coagulant and anti-inflammatory functions of EPCR facilitate oncogenesis and/or drug-resistance is unclear.

Immunogen: Expression cloning revealed that the LMR-42 antigen is identical to the human endothelial cell protein C receptor (EPCR). Protein C is the zymogen of the key anticoagulant enzyme, activated protein C (APC).

Applikationshinweise: Immunohistochemistry: Use at a 1:20 dilution on frozen sections, air-dried or acetone fixed cells. Flow cytometry: No cell permeabilization required.
