Applikationshinweise: This mAb is a broad spectrum neutralization monoclonal antibody against haemagglutinin (HA) of H5 subtype AIV and recognizes a very conserved epitope in HA. McAb 8H5 showed high reacitivity with 33 strains of H5N1 virus isolated from 2002 to 2006 in different areas and hosts by hemagglutinin inhibition (HI) test and neutralization test (NT). This mAb is not cross reactive with non H5 HA of standard AIV in hemagglutinin inhibition test (Xia et al, 2006). This antibody can detect HA in an ELISA test.

This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG2a format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
