Hintergrund: Background: hSET1B is a histone methyltransferase that associates in a complex with the non-catalytic subunits CFP1, Rbbp5, Ash2, Wdr5, and Wdr82. These five non-catalytic subunits are also part of the Set1A complex. The SET1B complex has been shown to catalyze the tri-methylation of 'Lys-4' on histone H3. SET1B has been shown to localize to sites independent of SET1A complexes indicating non-redundant functions between SET1B and SET1A complexes.
