WB: Not recommended. ABIN7451103 has not performed satisfactorily when used for WB of Cadherin 13/CDH13/T-cadherin in crude preparations (e.g. whole cell lysate). This antibody can be used for WB of enriched (e.g. immunoprecipitated) sources of Cadherin 13/CD.

Hintergrund
- Background: Cadherin-13 is a member of the cadherin superfamily. Cadherin-13 is localized to the surface of the cell membrane and is anchored by a GPI moiety, rather than by a transmembrane domain. Cadherin-13 lacks the cytoplasmic domain characteristic of other cadherins, and so is not thought to be a cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein. Cadherin-13 acts as a negative regulator of axon growth during neural differentiation. It also protects vascular endothelial cells from apoptosis due to oxidative stress, and is associated with resistance to atherosclerosis [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 1012)].
