Hintergrund
- Transcription factor that binds to the consensus sequence 5'-TCCTCCC-3' and acts as a transcriptional repressor. Binds to the promoter region of SIX3 and recruits other proteins involved in chromatin modification and transcriptional corepression, resulting in methylation of the promoter and transcriptional repression.
