Applikationshinweise: This antibody is a strong inducer of homotypic adhesion in hematolymphoid cells (Levy, 1998). This antibody also has an anti-proliferative effect, and is able to induce growth inhibition of B cell lines. Triggering of CD81 by this antibody induces a significant upregulation of the constituitive release of TNF-α by JY cells, an Eptsein-Barr virus-positive B lymphoblastoid cell line (Altomonte, 1995).

This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
