Storage before reconstitution: The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, it should be stored at -20°C.
Storage after reconstitution: The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer periods, small aliquots should be stored at -20°C. Avoid multiple freezing and thawing. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10000 x g 5 min).

Synapse-associated protein 97, Discs large homolog 1,SAP-97 belongs to the MAGUK (membrane associated guanylate kinase) homologs along with PSD-95, PSD-93 and SAP102.Like other members, SAP-97 has three PDZ domains, one SH3 domain and an inactive GUK domain. Alternative splicing of SAP-97 gives to a number of different isoforms thereby complicating the understanding of its roles1.In the post-synaptic cell, SAP-97 is the only MAGUK to directly interact with the GluA1 AMPA receptor2. SAP-97 also directly interacts with NMDA receptors through the PDZ domain3,4.SAP-97 was shown to interact with KV1.45 and with KV4.2 where it directs the channel to spines in hippocampal neurons6. It can also interact with the channel in the heart7.Interactions with Kir channels have also been observed8,9.Thus, SAP-97 serves as a regulator of neuronal excitability and synaptic function. Roles for the protein in schizophrenia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease and epilepsy have been found1.
