Spezifität: The rat monoclonal antibody 5H10-27 (MFR5) recognizes an extracellular epitope of murine CD49e, a 135 kDa protein serving as VLA-5 alpha chain, expressed on thymocytes, activated T cells, splenic B cells, and mast cells.

Aufreinigung: Purified antibody is conjugated with R-phycoerythrin (PE) under optimum conditions. Unconjugated antibody and free fluorochrome are removed by size-exclusion chromatography.

Hintergrund: Integrin alpha 5,CD49e, the alpha 5 integrin, noncovalently associates with the beta 1integrin (CD29) to form VLA-5 integrin complex. CD49e itself is composed of two disulfide-linked chains of 135 kDa and 25 kDa. VLA-5 binds to RGD sequence of fibronectin, and to neural adhesion molecule L1.
