Tested Species: In-house tested species with positive results. By Heat: Boiling the paraffin sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH6.0, for 20mins is required for the staining of formalin/paraffin sections. Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end users.

Rekonstitution: Add 0.2 mL of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/mL.

Hintergrund:

Synonyms: Peflin, PEF protein with a long N-terminal hydrophobic domain, Penta-EF hand domain-containing protein 1, PEF1, ABP32, UNQ1845, PRO3573

Background: Peflin is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PEF1 gene. This gene encodes a calcium-binding protein belonging to the penta-EF-hand protein family. The encoded protein has been shown to form a heterodimer with the programmed cell death 6 gene product and may modulate its function in Ca(2+) signaling. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants and a pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 1.
