Applikationshinweise

Peptide ELISA: Limit dilution 1: 8000. Western blot: Customer's experiments gave a band at approx 160 kDa in lysates of a MouseMacrophage cell line after 2 μg/mL antibody staining (calculated MW of 130 kDa accordingto NP_004901.1). In ICC the customer found staining of vesicular cytoplasm in the samecell line.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. -

Hintergrund
- NIR2 belongs to a family of proteins that share homology with the Drosophila retinal degeneration B (rdgB) protein. Nir2, a human homolog of Drosophila melanogaster retinal degeneration B protein, is essential for cytokinesis. A specific Thr residue in the Nir2 PI-transfer domain provides a regulatory site for targeting to lipid droplets. This may affect intracellular lipid trafficking and distribution & explain the dominant effect of the RdgB-T59E mutant on retinal degeneration.Synonyms: DRES9, Membrane-associated phosphatidylinositol transfer protein 1, NIR2, PITPNM, PITPNM1
