Hintergrund: CDA forms a homotetramer that catalyzes the irreversible hydrolytic deamination of cytidine and deoxycytidine to uridine and deoxyuridine, respectively. This protein is one of several deaminases responsible for maintaining the cellular pyrimidine pool.
