Hintergrund
- CD209 Molecule,CD209, also known as DC-SIGN (dendritic cell-specific ICAM-3-grabbing nonintegrin) is a transmembrane receptor expressed on the surface of dendritic cells and macrophages, which recognizes numerous pathogens ranging from parasites to viruses. Its N-terminal domain is transmembrane, whereas a tandem-repeat neck domain and the C terminal C-type lectin carbohydrate recognition domain have dual function as a pathogen recognition receptor and a cell adhesion receptor. The neck region is responsible for homo-oligomerization which allows the receptor to bind multivalent ligands with high avidity. A ligand of CD209 is also CD50 (ICAM-3).,CLEC4L, DC-SIGN1, CDSIGN
