Hintergrund: Zeranol is a synthetic non-steroidal anabolic agent, with oestrogenic activity. The main metabolites of zeranol in mammals are zeralanone and taleranol. Zeranol and its metabolites are excreted as free compounds and as glucuronide or sulphate tracer.
