The results of this study indicated that elevated neurogranin function within the PFC (zeige CFP ELISA Kits) can enhance local plasticity and increase the rate of extinction learning across different behavioral tasks.
Neurogranin knockout mice are hyperactive and socially withdrawn.
findings suggest that mobilization of CaM and Ng to stimulated dendritic spines may enhance synaptic efficacy by increasing and prolonging the Ca2+ transients and activation of Ca2+/CaM-dependent enzymes.
We propose that the differential regulation of multiple sense and novel overlapping natural antisense transcripts at the Nrgn and Camk2n1 (zeige CAMK2N1 ELISA Kits) loci will increase the diversity of posttranscriptional regulation
Results provide a new specific neurochemical marker to identify a subpopulation of olfactory granule cells and suggest possible functional implications for neurogranin in olfactory bulb plasticity mechanisms.
Attenuation of protein kinase C (zeige PKC ELISA Kits) and cAMP-dependent protein kinase (zeige CDK7 ELISA Kits) signal transduction in the neurogranin knockout mouse
Neurogranin expression in the cerebellum by brush cells, which are excitatory, shows remarkable cell type- and species-specific expression patterns of a postsynaptic protein mediating calcium signaling mechanisms.
calcium dynamics are altered in cortical neurons lacking the calmodulin-binding protein RC3
NMDA induced a rapid and transient phosphorylation and oxidation of neurogranin in mouse hippocampal slices
NG is expressed by principal cells in different neocortical layers and in the hippocampus by granule cells of the dentate gyrus and pyramidal neurons of CA1 (zeige CA1 ELISA Kits)-CA3 (zeige CA3 ELISA Kits).

The results of this results showed that increased CSF (zeige CSF2 ELISA Kits) neurogranin levels in Alzheimer Disease.
Polymorphisms in NRGN are associated with schizophrenia, major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder in the Han Chinese population.
Neurogranin and YKL-40 (zeige CHI3L1 ELISA Kits) are promising AD biomarkers, independent of and complementary to the established core Alzheimer's disease (AD) biomarkers, reflecting additional pathological changes in the course of AD
These results confirm an increase in CSF (zeige CSF2 ELISA Kits) Ng concentration in patients with AD as previously reported and show that this is specific to AD and not seen in a range of other neurodegenerative diseases.
This report provides evidence to support larger and controlled traumatic brain injury clinical studies for NRGN validation and prediction of outcomes.
Within-person levels of NGRN (zeige NGRN ELISA Kits) increased in cognitively normal participants but not in patients with later stage mild cognitive impairment or Alzhiemer's disease; NGRN (zeige NGRN ELISA Kits) may reflect presymptomatic synaptic dysfunction or loss.
Cerebrospinal fluid neurogranin was increased in patients with Alzheimer's dementia, progressive mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and stable MCI compared with controls, and in Alzheimer's dementia and progressive MCI compared with stable MCI.
neurogranin binds to alpha-synuclein in the human cortex, and this interaction decreases in Parkinson's disease along with the phosphorylation of neurogranin, a molecular process thought to be involved in learning and memory
These findings help to clarify underlying NRGN mediated pathophysiological mechanisms involving cortical-subcortical brain networks in schizophrenia.
interaction of Ca(2 (zeige CA2 ELISA Kits)+)-free calmodulin (zeige KRIT1 ELISA Kits) (apoCaM) with the IQ motif corresponding to the calmodulin (zeige KRIT1 ELISA Kits)-binding domain of neurogranin has been studied by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) methods
Neurogranin (NRGN) is the human homolog of the neuron-specific rat RC3/neurogranin gene. This gene encodes a postsynaptic protein kinase substrate that binds calmodulin in the absence of calcium. The NRGN gene contains four exons and three introns. The exons 1 and 2 encode the protein and exons 3 and 4 contain untranslated sequences. It is suggested that the NRGN is a direct target for thyroid hormone in human brain, and that control of expression of this gene could underlay many of the consequences of hypothyroidism on mental states during development as well as in adult subjects.
