Together, these data implicate C9ORF72 GGGGCC expansion-mediated sequestration of hnRNP H as a significant contributor to neurodegeneration in C9 amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia.
High HNRNPH1 expression is associated with castration-resistant prostate cancer.
hnRNP H binds to two specific G-runs in exon 5a of ACHE and activates the distal alternative 3 splice site (ss) between exons 5a and 5b. Furthermore, hnRNP H competes for binding of CstF64 to the overlapping binding sites in exon 5a, and suppresses the selection of a cryptic polyadenylation site, which additionally ensures transcription of the distal 3 ss required for the generation of AChET isoform.
The different alternative transcript variants of HNRNPH1 exhibited different expression changes during tumorigenesis. Its mRNA and protein were overexpressed in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and associated with poorer differentiation of tumor cells.
Our findings define novel roles for hnRNPH1 as a putative oncogene (zeige RAB1A Antikörper), splicing factor (zeige SLU7 Antikörper), and an auxiliary AR coregulator.
Global splicing analysis with RNA-seq revealed that exons carrying the hnRNP H-binding GGGGG motif are predisposed to be skipped compared to those carrying the SRSF1 (zeige SRSF1 Antikörper)-binding GGAGG motif in both human and mouse brains.
vRSF3 and hnRNP (zeige HNRNPC Antikörper) H1 are the first splicing factors identified which regulate the production of these functionally distinct HER2 (zeige ERBB2 Antikörper) splice variants and therefore maybe important for the regulation of HER2 (zeige ERBB2 Antikörper) signaling.
In pediatric T-acute lymphoblastic leukemia, we have identified 2 RNA processing genes, that is, HNRNPH1/5q35 and DDX3X (zeige DDX3X Antikörper)/Xp11.3 as new MLLT10 (zeige MLLT10 Antikörper) fusion partners.
These results support a working hypothesis that a late viral protein HPV16 L1, which is down regulated by hnRNP H early in the viral life cycle may provide an auto-regulatory positive feedback loop that allows the rapid production of HPV capsid proteins through suppression of the function of hnRNP H at the late stage of the viral life cycle.
The REST N exon is a very versatile sequence with a complex array of splicing signals, and its activation in H69 cells depends on the relative amounts of hnRNP H and U2AF65 (zeige U2AF59 Antikörper).
These results define a novel contribution of Hnrnph1 to neurobehavioral dysfunction associated with dopaminergic neurotransmission.
hnRNP C and hnRNP H (zeige HNRNPH2 Antikörper) bind to the 3'-UTR (zeige UTS2R Antikörper) of the circadian clock gene Period 2 (mPer2 (zeige PER2 Antikörper)).
genome wide analysis of splicing events and gene expression regulated by hnRNPH/F in oligodendrocytes
The hnRNP H1 can function as repressors of MOR translation dependent on the M4 sequence.
hnRNPH activity appears to be involved in the pathogenesis and progression of malignant gliomas as the centre of a splicing oncogenic switch
This gene encodes a member of a subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). The hnRNPs are RNA binding proteins that complex with heterogeneous nuclear RNA. These proteins are associated with pre-mRNAs in the nucleus and appear to influence pre-mRNA processing and other aspects of mRNA metabolism and transport. While all of the hnRNPs are present in the nucleus, some may shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The hnRNP proteins have distinct nucleic acid binding properties. The protein encoded by this gene has three repeats of quasi-RRM domains that bind to RNA and is very similar to the family member HNRPF. This gene may be associated with hereditary lymphedema type I. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described
