GSTT1 polymorphism is not associated with the higher risk of cardiovascular diseases, but affects lipid profile
We aimed to assess the impact of DE and allergen co-exposure on lung function and the influence of GSTM1 (zeige GSTM1 Antikörper) or GSTT1 variation.plasma protein carbonyl level 4h after co-exposure was higher in the individuals who have the GSTT1 null genotype
the presence of a GSTM1 (zeige GSTM1 Antikörper) *null and GSTT1 *null alleles were independent predictors for COPD (zeige ARCN1 Antikörper) in females.
Our meta-analysis revealed strong association of rs1048943 in CYP1A1 (zeige CYP1A1 Antikörper), but a suggestive association of deletion polymorphisms in GSTT1 and GSTM1 (zeige GSTM1 Antikörper) with lung cancer, which provides a comprehensive insight on the overall effect of the polymorphic variants, reported in various case-control studies on Indian population, on the risk of lung cancer development
The selective effect of PEITC on detoxification in subjects lacking both GSTM1 (zeige GSTM1 Antikörper) and GSTT1 genes supports the epidemiologic findings of stronger protection by dietary isothiocyanates against the development of lung cancer in such individuals
polymorphisms of the GSTM1 (zeige GSTM1 Antikörper) del and GSTT1 del genes were analysed by multiplex PCR
results suggest that combined deletion polymorphisms of GSTT1 and GSTM1 (zeige GSTM1 Antikörper) can have implications in the prediction of the clinical course of the disease
Frequency of GSTT1 gene polymorphism is higher in patients with atherosclerosis then in control group.
The present case-control study found that GSTM1 (zeige GSTM1 Antikörper) and GSTT1 polymorphism are not associated with JOAG (zeige MYOC Antikörper) risk in North Indian population. The present meta-analysis suggested that there might be a significant association of GSTM1 (zeige GSTM1 Antikörper) null genotype with glaucoma (JOAG (zeige MYOC Antikörper) & POAG) risk.
These fi ndings suggest that carriers of null genotypes for GSTT1 might be at increased genotoxic alkyl- ating effect after exposure to pesticides.
minor structural changes in the C-terminal helix of mouse GST T1-1 induce major changes in the substrate-activity profile of the enzyme to favor novel chemical reactions and to suppress other reactions catalyzed by the parental enzyme
The carcinogenic effects of DCM in the mouse are caused by the interaction with DNA of a glutathione (GSH) conjugate that is produced by the class theta glutathione S-transferase T1-1 (GST T1-1).
Gstt1-null mice would be useful as an animal model of humans with the GSTT1-null genotype.
Glutathione S-transferase (GST) theta 1 (GSTT1) is a member of a superfamily of proteins that catalyze the conjugation of reduced glutathione to a variety of electrophilic and hydrophobic compounds. Human GSTs can be divided into five main classes: alpha, mu, pi, theta, and zeta. The theta class includes GSTT1 and GSTT2. The GSTT1 and GSTT2 share 55% amino acid sequence identity and both of them were claimed to have an important role in human carcinogenesis. The GSTT1 gene is located approximately 50kb away from the GSTT2 gene. The GSTT1 and GSTT2 genes have a similar structure, being composed of five exons with identical exon/intron boundaries.
