We used mass spectrometry of plasma from trauma patients to find that fibrinogen Aalpha-C domain methionine sulfoxide content was selectively-increased in patients with coagulopathy vs. those without coagulopathy. This evidence supports a novel linkage between oxidative stress, coagulopathy, and bleeding after injury
Using a quantum chemical approach method, it has been established that mutations in MMP-10 (zeige MMP10 Antikörper) and FGA proteins led to substantial energetic modifications suggesting an impact on their functions and/or stability in the recurrent pregnancy loss patients.
this study elucidates a molecular mechanism linking CB1R signaling, ERRgamma expression and fibrinogen gene transcription.
Data indicate that repeated measurement after five hours showed a statistical significant difference for the fractional synthesis rate of fibrinogen but not for albumin (zeige ALB Antikörper).
Fibrinogen A alpha-chain amyloidosis appears to be an under-recognized disorder in Braga, Portugal, where we found a high frequency of the FGA p.Glu545Val variant
High fibrinogen expression is associated with pancreatic carcinoma.
The high preoperative peripheral serum fibrinogen level was related to poor survival in penile cancer patients, suggeting fibrinogen may serve as a powerful predictor of cancer specific survival (CSS (zeige CMAS Antikörper)) in penile cancer patients.
Q237 is rapidly crosslinked first by FXIIIa followed by Q366 and Q328. Both (15)NH4Cl and (15)N-GEE could be crosslinked to the three glutamines in alphaC (233-425) with a similar order of reactivity. No glutamine (zeige GFPT1 Antikörper) is dependent on another to react first. Moreover, the remaining two glutamines of each mutant were both still reactive. These glutamines play distinct roles in fibrin crosslinking and clot (zeige TXNDC17 Antikörper) architecture.
The molecular characterization of two novel afibrinogenemic mutations in the fibrinogen A alpha and fibrinogen B beta chain establishes the importance of the A alpha and B beta C-terminal region for normal fibrinogen assembly and secretion.
This meta-analysis results did not show significant associations between the polymorphisms in FGA and Ischemic stroke.
NMR solution structure of the bovine fibrinogen alphaC-domain fragment, including residues Aalpha374-538, reveals a type-I' beta-hairpin, restricted at the base by a C423-C453 disulfide linkage and a short turn preceding C423.
cellular fibrin uptake was diminished by elimination of CCR2-expressing cells.
Mice expressing a mutant form of fibrinogen cannot support fibrin formation exhibit compromised antimicrobial host defense.
Data indicate RU-505 as an effective inhibitor of the beta-amyloid (Abeta)-fibrinogen interaction.
Fbg deficiency was associated with enhanced hepatic expression of the transcription factor early growth response-1 (zeige EGR1 Antikörper).
The protein encoded by this gene is the alpha component of fibrinogen, a blood-borne glycoprotein comprised of three pairs of nonidentical polypeptide chains. Following vascular injury, fibrinogen is cleaved by thrombin to form fibrin which is the most abundant component of blood clots. In addition, various cleavage products of fibrinogen and fibrin regulate cell adhesion and spreading, display vasoconstrictor and chemotactic activities, and are mitogens for several cell types. Mutations in this gene lead to several disorders, including dysfibrinogenemia, hypofibrinogenemia, afibrinogenemia and renal amyloidosis. Alternative splicing results in two isoforms which vary in the carboxy-terminus.
