Study find that CPNE1 expression is upregulated in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and associated with advanced TNM stage, lymph node and distant metastasis. Furthermore, its knockdown inhibits the cell cycle in NSCLC cells. These data strongly suggest that CPNE1 is an oncogene in NSCLC and serves an important role in tumorigenesis of NSCLC progression.
