Beschreibung: MAD2L1 (also called mitotic spindleassembly checkpoint protein, MAD2A, MAD2-like 1 andHsMAD2) is a component of the mitotic spindle assemblycheckpoint monitors the process of kinetochore-spindleattachment and delays the onset of anaphase when thisprocess is not complete. MAD2L1 inhibits the activity ofthe anaphase-promoting complex by sequesteringCDC20 until all chromosomes are aligned at themetaphase plate. MAD2L1 is related to the MAD2L2gene located on chromosome 1. This protein has anuclear localization. A MAD2 pseudogene has beenmapped to chromosome 14

Applikationshinweise: This protein A purified antibodyhas been tested for use in immunoprecipitation and bywestern blot. This antibody is not applicable forimmunofluorescence microscopy. Specific conditions forreactivity should be optimized by the end user.
