Application Note: This product has been assayed against 1.0 μg of Carbonic Anhydrase II [Bovine Erythrocytes] in a standard ELISA using Peroxidase conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Rabbit IgG [H&L] (Goat) code #611-1302 and (ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.  A working dilution of 1:3,000 to 1:14,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product.

Hintergrund: Background: Carbonic Anhydrase 2 is essential for bone resorption and osteoclast differentiation. It reverses hydration of carbon dioxide and can hydrate cyanamide to urea. It is involved in the regulation of fluid secretion into the anterior chamber of the eye. Carbonic Anhydrase II contributes to intracellular pH regulation in the duodenal upper villous epithelium during proton-coupled peptide absorption. It stimulates the chloride-bicarbonate exchange activity of SLC26A6. it is used for target of drugs used in treatments against glaucoma disorder and breast cancer.
