Produktbeschreibung

Produktmerkmale Precipitating polyclonal rabbit antiserum to human beta-1 lipoprotein (LDL)
Weitere Bezeichnung beta-1 Lipoprotein (LDL)
Immunogen Beta-1 lipoprotein has a molecular weight of 2,700,000. The protein is isolated from normal serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Beschreibung The defined antibody specificity is restricted to beta-1 lipoprotein as tested at the level of sensitivity of immunoprecipitation techniques. The antiserum does not react with any other protein component of human serum or plasma. Cross-reactivity Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to plasma proteins, since homologous proteins of different species frequently share antigenic determinants.
Spezifität Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to plasma proteins, since homologous proteins of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. of this antiserum has not been tested in detail.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and single and double radial immuno-diffusion to identify the presence transferrin in human serum or other body fluids and to determine its concentration. This antiserum has not been tested in more sensitive assays as nephelometry, ELISA or use in immunohistology, but this does not exclude such use if proper controls are included. Adsorption: Immunoaffinity adsorbed using insolubilized antigens as required, to eliminate antibodies reacting with other human serum proteins. The use of insolubilized adsorption antigens prevents the presence of excess adsorbent protein or immune complexes in the antiserum.
Konzentration Total protein and IgG concentrations in the antiserum are comparable to those of normal pooled rabbit serum. No foreign proteins added. Antibody titre: Precipitin titre not less than 1:16 when tested in agar block immunodiffusion titration against normal
Buffer Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized, stable whole serum. Preservative: No preservative added.
Lagerung Lyophilised at +4°C (10 years), reconstituted at or below -20°C (3-5 years), reconstituted at +4°C at least 7 days. The lyophilized antiserum is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4°C, prolonged storage at or below -20°C. Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by add ing 1 ml sterile distilled water. Dilutions may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the antiserum. Diluted antiserum should be stored at +4°C, not ref rozen, and preferably used the same day.
