Beschreibung: A-kinase anchor proteins (AKAPs) direct the activity of protein kinase A (PKA) by tetheringthe enzyme near its physiologic substrates. AKAP3 belongs to the AKAP110 family. Expression is testis specific, and is only expressed in spermatids. It is thought to functionas a regulator of both motility- and head-associated functions such as capacitation andthe acrosome reaction in sperm.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1: 32000. Western blot: 1-3 µg/ml. Approx 90kDa band observed in Human Testis lysates (calculatedMW of 95kDa according to NP_006413). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
