Beschreibung: HRK is a BH3 only protein of the Bcl-2 family, which promotes Bax dependent apoptosis. HRK regulates apoptosis through its interaction with the anti-apoptotic proteins Bcl-2 andBcl-XL, and in conjunction to the mitochondrial pore forming protein p32. HRK is thought tohave a specific role in initiating neuronal and haematopoietic cell apoptosis, in particularto growth factor deprivation. Aberrant methylation of HRK is frequently detected in primary colorectal cancers. Despiteits predicted molecular weight, HRK often migrates at 12-15kD.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Western Blot: 2 - 5g/ml, detects a band of approximately 13kDa in mouse pancreas tissuelysate. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
