Immunogen: Slices containing purified FrpD250-6xHis-tagged protein were excised from 10% SDS-PAGEgels, grinded, mixed with 1 mg/ml of aluminum hydroxide in PBS, and used to immunize arabbit.

Beschreibung: Orf1 (FrpD) is a Neisseria meningitidis outer membrane lipoprotein. Subcellular localizationand [3H]palmitic acid labeling in Escherichia coli revealed that FrpD is synthesized with atype II signal peptide for export across the cytoplasmic membrane and is, upon processingto a lipoprotein, sorted to the outer bacterial membrane.

Spezifität: The polyclonal antibody reacts with Orf1 (FrpD), a 28 - 32 kDa Neisseria meningitidis outermembrane lipoprotein. Orf1 is highly conserved in a set of meningococcal strainsrepresentative of all serogroups and does not exhibit any similarity to known sequences ofother organisms.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Suitable for Western Blotting under Reducing conditions (0.2-1 μg/ml). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Buffer: PBS, pH 7.4 with 15 mM sodium azide as preservative.

Lagerung: Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
