Beschreibung: Affinity Purified Anti-MAGP-2 (Rabbit). Background Information: MAGP-2 (also known as Microfibril-associated glycoprotein 2, MFAP-2, MP25 and Microfibrillar-associated protein 5 precursor) is a secreted, extracellular matrix protein which is a component of the elastin-associated microfibrils. It forms intermolecular disulfide bonds either with other MAGP-2 molecules or with other components of the microfibrils. MAGP-2 is upregulated in some ovarian cancers and is associated with poor survival of ovarian cancer patients.

Spezifität: This affinity-purified antibody is directed against human MAGP-2 protein. The product was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross reactivity with MAGP-2 protein from human and chimpanzee based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Expect partial reactivity with MAGP-2 from mouse, dog and rat sources based on partial (~75%) sequence homology. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known.
