Beschreibung: GGA1 (also known as ADP-ribosylationfactor binding protein, Golgi-localized, gamma ear-containing, ARF-binding protein 1, Gamma-adaptinrelated protein 1) plays a role in protein sorting andtrafficking between the trans-Golgi network (TGN) andendosomes. This protein mediates the ARF-dependentrecruitment of clathrin to the TGN and binds ubiquitinatedproteins and membrane cargo molecules with a cytosolicacidic cluster-dileucine (AC-LL) motif. GGA1 is amonomeric protein that interacts with NECAP1, GGA2and GGA3 as well as RABEP1, RABGEF1 and type-Imembrane proteins SORT1, SORL1, LRP3, M6PR/CD-MPR, IGF2R/CI-MPR and BACE1. GGA1 is aubiquitously membrane-associated protein that islocalized to TGN and endosomes. Multiple alternativelyspliced transcript variants encoding different isoformshave been found for this gene.

Spezifität: This affinity purified antibody is directed against human GGA1 protein. The product wasaffinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification. A BLAST analysis was used to suggestreactivity with this protein from human based on 100% homology for the immunogen sequence. Cross reactivity mayoccur with GGA1 from bovine (87% homology), mouse (82% homology) and rat (76% homology) sources. Theimmunizing sequence is present only in isoform 1 of this protein, therefore cross reactivity with splice variants is notexpected. Cross reactivity with GGA1 homologues from other sources has not been determined.
