Beschreibung: Gαi2 is a 40-41 kDa alpha-subunit of heterotrimeric protein, that shares sequencehomology with Gαi3 and Gαi1. All these G proteins can be ADP-ribosylated at the carboxyterminal Cys of the CAAX sequence, interfering with receptor coupling. Gαi2 is expressedwidely in tissues and cell lines. Activation of PLC-β by Gαi-coupled receptors is the result ofrelease of Gβγ subunits from Gαi. Gαi2 regulates potassium channel activation. Mutationat Arg179 has been identified in tumors. This and the Q205L mutant inhibit adenylylcyclase.

Spezifität: The antibody detects human Gαi2. It also cross-reacts with Gαi3 and partially with Gαi1.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Western blot (0.5-1 μg/ml). Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Buffer: PBS, pH 7.2, containing 50 % glycerol, 1 % BSA, and 0.02 % sodium azide

Lagerung: Store at -20°C. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70 °C. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
