  3. AFP mRNA and VEGF-C (zeige VEGFC Antikörper) mRNA in peripheral blood were significantly correlated with recurrence and metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma.

  4. A DEHP treatment-induced phenotype was identified with lack of glycogen (zeige GYS1 Antikörper) accumula-tion and intracytoplasmic localization of beta-catenin (zeige CTNNB1 Antikörper) which was associated with increased AFP gene expression.

  5. The deficits observed in parental behavior of AFP knockout females could not be explained by any changes in olfactory function, novelty recognition or anxiety

  6. Foxa1 (zeige FOXA1 Antikörper) acts as a pioneer transcription factor in de novo activation of Afp, by exploiting a lack of methylation at juxtaposed transposed elements

  7. The level of AFP mRNA in peripheral blood may indicate recurrence and/or metastasis after curative resection of hepatocellular carcinoma.

  8. AFP affects cell proliferation by binding its receptor to trigger the signal transduction pathway of cAMP-PKA and alter the expression of K- ras (zeige HRAS Antikörper) p21 (zeige D4S234E Antikörper) genes

  2. A correlation was found between serum AFP concentration and age in extremely low-birthweight infants (ELBWI), and the 95%CI of serum AFP concentration was determined for ELBWI up to 2 years after birth.

  3. rAFP promoted growth of the human HCC (zeige FAM126A Antikörper) cells, antagonize paclitaxel inhibition of HCC (zeige FAM126A Antikörper) cell proliferation, suppress expression of active caspase-3 (zeige CASP3 Antikörper), and promote expression of Ras and survivin (zeige BIRC5 Antikörper).

  4. Measurements of serum alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) levels could be helpful in detecting progression or recurrence in treated patients with hepatitis B virus (HBV) - hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC (zeige FAM126A Antikörper)) and normal alanine aminotransferase (zeige ALT Antikörper) (ALT).

  5. AFP mRNA level is in enriched circulating tumor cells from patients with metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma.

  6. High serum AFP levels were significantly associated with the prevalence of metabolic syndrome in a Chinese asymptomatic population.

  7. Contrary to expectation, Chronic Hepatitis B patients with current or recent exposure to NA therapy showed poorer performance of AFP during hepatocellular carcinoma surveillance

  8. Protein induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist-II showed higher area under the curve than alpha-fetoprotein for diagnosis of hepatitis B virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma patients (0.901 vs 0.788).We conclude that Combining alpha-fetoprotein and protein induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist-II may improve the diagnostic value for early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma.

alpha Fetoprotein (AFP) Antigen-Profil

Beschreibung des Gens

This gene encodes alpha-fetoprotein, a major plasma protein produced by the yolk sac and the liver during fetal life. Alpha-fetoprotein expression in adults is often associated with hepatoma or teratoma. However, hereditary persistance of alpha-fetoprotein may also be found in individuals with no obvious pathology. The protein is thought to be the fetal counterpart of serum albumin, and the alpha-fetoprotein and albumin genes are present in tandem in the same transcriptional orientation on chromosome 4. Alpha-fetoprotein is found in monomeric as well as dimeric and trimeric forms, and binds copper, nickel, fatty acids and bilirubin. The level of alpha-fetoprotein in amniotic fluid is used to measure renal loss of protein to screen for spina bifida and anencephaly.
