Bhatnagar, Gazin, Chamberlain, Ou, Zhu, Tushir, Virbasius, Lin, Zhu, Wajapeyee, Green: TRIM37 is a new histone H2A ubiquitin ligase and breast cancer oncoprotein. in Nature 2014
The polycomb group protein (zeige CBX4 Proteine) ring1b/rnf2 is specifically required for craniofacial development.
These results reveal that, in the absence of functional Ring1b, fin bud cells fail to execute the pectoral fin developmental program.
Study detected RNF2 expression to be overexpressed in esophageal carcinoma cell lines and was associated with the poor prognosis of esophageal carcinoma patients. Data also reflect its important role in the growth of esophageal carcinoma cells by shRNA silencing of RNF2 expression.
overexpression of RNF2, as examined by immunohistochemical analysis, might serve as a novel prognostic biomarker and potential therapeutic target for urothelial carcinoma of the bladder patients.
Our findings support the notion that epigenetic regulators, such as RNF2, directly and functionally control powerful gene networks that are vital in multiple cancer processes.
O-GlcNAc (zeige OGT Proteine) modifies and regulates an essential epigenetic tool, RING1B, which may contribute to human embryonic stem cells pluripotency maintenance and differentiation.
The enzymatic activity of BMI1 (zeige BMI1 Proteine) and RING1B were evaluated and compared.
Bmi1 (zeige BMI1 Proteine) and possibly RNF2 may be attractive biomarkers of gemcitabine resistance in the context of RRM1 (zeige RRM1 Proteine) expression.
combinatorial silencing along with Ezh2 (zeige EZH2 Proteine) depleted epigenetically modified H2- and H3-histones and inhibited pancreatic cancer cell growth in vitro and in vivo (xenograft model)
BAP1 deficiency causes increased expression of FoxK2 (zeige FOXK2 Proteine) target genes in a Ring1B-Bmi1 (zeige BMI1 Proteine)-dependent manner
Authors describe a critical role for the polycomb group protein Ring1b in nonhomologous end-joining (NHEJ)-mediated end-to-end chromosome fusions.
we identify p63 (zeige RPE65 Proteine) as a target of Ring1B to regulate Fak (zeige PTK2 Proteine) expression in breast cancer epithelial cells
the ability of RING1B, a core component of PRC1 (zeige PRC1 Proteine), to ubiquitinate histone H2A is dispensable for early mouse embryonic development and much of the gene repression activity of PRC1 (zeige PRC1 Proteine)
RNF2 associates with AMBRA1 (zeige AMBRA1 Proteine) to act as an E3 ligase to ubiquitinate AMBRA1 (zeige AMBRA1 Proteine) via K48 linkage.
The polycomb (zeige CBX2 Proteine) component Ring1B regulates the timed termination of Fezf2 (zeige FEZF2 Proteine) expression and thus subcerebral projection neuron production during mouse neocortical development.
Expansion of hepatic stem/progenitor cells requires Ring1B-mediated epigenetic silencing of Cdkn1a (zeige CDKN1A Proteine) and Cdkn2a, demonstrating that Ring1B simultaneously regulates multiple CDKIs in tissue stem/progenitor cells.
Af9 (zeige MLLT3 Proteine) mediates site-selective physical and functional recruitment of Rnf2 to the alpha-ENaC (zeige SCNN1A Proteine) promoter to constrain basal alpha-ENaC (zeige SCNN1A Proteine) transcription in collecting duct cells.
Ring1b mediates Meis2 (zeige MEIS2 Proteine) promoter and midbrain-specific enhancer association.
Aurora B (zeige AURKC Proteine) and Ring1B co-occupy active promoters in resting lymphocytes.
Fbxl10 (zeige KDM2B Proteine) has a key role in regulating Ring1B recruitment to its target genes and H2AK119 ubiquitylation in embryonic stem cells.
identification of gene-dosage-dependent roles in primordial germ cell development for Ring1 (zeige RING1 Proteine) and Rnf2, two central components of the Polycomb (zeige CBX2 Proteine) repressive complex 1 (PRC1 (zeige PRC1 Proteine))
Ring1b inactivation in differentiated islet beta cells (Ring1b(betaKO)) did not cause derepression, even after multiple rounds of cell division, suggesting a role for Ring1b in the establishment but not the maintenance of repression
Polycomb group (PcG) of proteins form the multiprotein complexes that are important for the transcription repression of various genes involved in development and cell proliferation. The protein encoded by this gene is one of the PcG proteins. It has been shown to interact with, and suppress the activity of, transcription factor CP2 (TFCP2/CP2). Studies of the mouse counterpart suggested the involvement of this gene in the specification of anterior-posterior axis, as well as in cell proliferation in early development. This protein was also found to interact with huntingtin interacting protein 2 (HIP2), an ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme, and possess ubiquitin ligase activity.
