This review showed that PDGFB was one of the common gene involved included with brain calcification.
Rare Skin Tumor Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP) is characterized by the translocation of the PDGFB (zeige PDGFB Antikörper) gene to the collagen 1A1 (zeige COL1A1 Antikörper) gene.
Transglutaminase type 2 affects cell migration through post-translational modification of PDGF (zeige PDGFA Antikörper)-BB.
PDGF-B (zeige PDGFB Antikörper) rs1800818 polymorphism might play a role in mediating the susceptibility to severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome in Chinese individuals.
PDAP-1 (zeige PDAP1 Antikörper) as an effecter of PDGF (zeige PDGFA Antikörper) signaling in glioma cells
High PDGFB expression is associated with gastric cancer.
We observed that regenerating and necrotic muscle fibers in muscle biopsy samples from Duchenne muscular dystrophy (zeige DMD Antikörper) patients expressed PDGF (zeige PDGFA Antikörper)-BB.
Elevated PDGFB (zeige PDGFB Antikörper) expression was noted in 29% of patients with papillary renal cell carcinoma (zeige MOK Antikörper).
Insulin (zeige INS Antikörper) treatment caused sustained Akt (zeige AKT1 Antikörper) activity, whereas EGF (zeige EGF Antikörper) or PDGF (zeige PDGFA Antikörper)-AA promoted transient signaling; PDGF (zeige PDGFA Antikörper)-BB produced sustained responses at higher concentrations.Transient responses to EGF (zeige EGF Antikörper) were caused by negative feedback at the receptor level, as a second treatment yielded minimal responses, whereas parallel exposure to IGF-I (zeige IGF1 Antikörper) caused full Akt (zeige AKT1 Antikörper) activation
high-throughput affinity plasma proteomic profiling is a valuable research strategy to identify potential candidate biomarkers for thrombosis-related disorders, and our study suggests a novel association of PDGFB plasma levels with venous thromboembolism.
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor family. The four members of this family are mitogenic factors for cells of mesenchymal origin and are characterized by a motif of eight cysteines. This gene product can exist either as a homodimer (PDGF-BB) or as a heterodimer with the platelet-derived growth factor alpha polypeptide (PDGF-AB), where the dimers are connected by disulfide bonds. Mutations in this gene are associated with meningioma. Reciprocal translocations between chromosomes 22 and 17, at sites where this gene and that for collagen type 1, alpha 1 are located, are associated with a particular type of skin tumor called dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans resulting from unregulated expression of growth factor. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
