Format: Lyophilized

Rekonstitution: Centrifuge the tube before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/mL is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.

Buffer: Lyophilized from 0.22μm filtered solution in PBS ( pH 7.4). Normally 8 % trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.

Hintergrund: MER tyrosine kinase (MERTK) encodes a surface receptor localized at the apical membrane of the retinal pigment epithelium. It plays a critical role in photoreceptor outer segment internalization prior to phagocytosis. Mutations in MERTK have been associated with severe autosomal recessive retinal dystrophies in the RCS rat and in humans.

Molekulargewicht: 78.9 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 115-140 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result.
