Two step purification of proteins expressed in baculovirus infected SF9 insect cells:
- In a first purification step, the protein is purified from the cleared cell lysate using three different His-tag capture materials: high yield, EDTA resistant, or DTT resistant. Eluate fractions are analyzed by SDS-PAGE.
- Protein containing fractions of the best purification are subjected to second purification step through size exclusion chromatography. Eluate fractions are analyzed by SDS-PAGE and Western blot.
- Reinheit
- >95 % as determined by SDS PAGE and Western Blot.
- Sterilität
- 0.22 μm filtered
- Endotoxin-Niveau
- Protein is endotoxin free.

In cases in which it is highly likely that the recombinant protein with the default tag will be insoluble our protein lab may suggest a higher molecular weight tag (e.g. GST-tag) instead to increase solubility. We will discuss all possible options with you in detail to assure that you receive your protein of interest.

- Hintergrund
- Catalytic histone acetyltransferase subunit of the RNA polymerase II elongator complex, which is a component of the RNA polymerase II (Pol II) holoenzyme and is involved in transcriptional elongation. Elongator may play a role in chromatin remodeling and is involved in acetylation of histones H3 and probably H4. Involved in acetylation of alpha-tubulin (PubMed:19185337). May also have a methyltransferase activity. Involved in cell migration. Involved in neurogenesis. Regulates the migration and branching of projection neurons in the developing cerebral cortex, through a process depending on alpha-tubulin acetylation (By similarity). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q9CZX0, ECO:0000269|PubMed:11714725, ECO:0000269|PubMed:11818576, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15902492, ECO:0000269|PubMed:16713582, ECO:0000269|PubMed:19185337}.
