- Hintergrund
- Ubiquitin-like-conjugating enzyme ATG10, also known as ATG10, is a 220 amino acid protein that localizes to the cytoplasm and plays a role in autophagy, specifically functioning as an E2-like enzyme that provides Atg recognition sites during autophagosome synthesis. ATG10 has also been shown to interact with ATG12 in human embryonic kidney cells in the presence of ATG7. Deletion of the p arm of chromosome 5 leads to Cri du chat syndrome, while deletion of the q arm or of chromosome 5 altogether is common in therapy-related acute myelogenous leukemias and myelodysplastic syndrome. Recombinant human ATG10 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
