Human Pleiomorphic Adenoma Gene 1 (PLAG1) Interaktionspartner

  1. HRAS (zeige HRAS Proteine) mutations were more common in epithelial-myoepithelial carcinomas (EMCAs) with intact PLAG1 and HMGA2. Most EMCAs arose ex pleomorphic adenoma (PA)and the genetic profile of EMCA varies with the absence or presence of preexisting PA and its cytogenetic signature. Progression to higher grade EMCA with intact PLAG1 and HMGA2 correlates with the presence of TP53 (zeige TP53 Proteine), FBXW7 (zeige FBXW7 Proteine) mutations, or SMARCB1 (zeige SMARCB1 Proteine) deletion.

  2. Plag1 expression is lost in malignant transformation from pleomorphic adenoma to carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma.

  3. MiR (zeige MLXIP Proteine)-26a can facilitate occurrence of pituitary tumor and invasiveness, probably via inhibiting PLAG1 expression.

  4. expression of PLAG1 can be considered a valuable diagnostic marker for recurrent pleomorphic adenoma

  5. High PLAG1 expression is associated with pleomorphic adenoma.

  6. The sensitivity (55%) and specificity (75%) of PLAG1 in diagnosing PA in FNAs is relatively modest thus limiting its diagnostic utility.

  7. The Thr34 of PLAG1 is critical for LpMab-10 recognition.

  8. Data indicate that SLIT2 (zeige SLIT3 Proteine), miR (zeige MLXIP Proteine)-218-1, RET (zeige RET Proteine)/PLAG1 and SLIT2 (zeige SLIT3 Proteine)/ROBO1 (zeige ROBO1 Proteine) pathway involved in Hirschsprung's disease.

  9. Altogether, these data suggest that HMGA2 is an upstream activator of PLAG1.

  10. Report illustrates two different tumorigenic pathways implicating PLAG1 in lipoblastoma: amplification through multiple copies of a small marker chromosome derived from chromosome 8, and a paracentric inversion of the long arm of chromosome 8. Review.

PLAG1 Protein Überblick

Protein Überblick

Pleomorphic adenoma gene 1 encodes a zinc finger protein with 2 putative nuclear localization signals. PLAG1, which is developmentally regulated, has been shown to be consistently rearranged in pleomorphic adenomas of the salivary glands. PLAG1 is activated by the reciprocal chromosomal translocations involving 8q12 in a subset of salivary gland pleomorphic adenomas. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.
