Systemic sclerosis patients differed from controls when DRB1 alleles were categorized according to 3rd hypervariable region sequences
these findings support the hypothesis that exposure to the fetus influences a mother's risk of disease. This is the first study to demonstrate an association between a child's DRB1 genotype and risk of SLE in the mother.
this study supports a role for HLA-DRB1 alleles as genetic risk factors of IgE-mediated peanut allergy.
these results confirm an association of HLA-DRB1 alleles and haplotypes with polycystic ovary syndrome susceptibility in Bahraini
Genetically, the strong primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) risk factors HLA-B*08 and DRB1 (zeige RBM45 ELISA Kits)*03 were more prevalent in Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) -positive than -negative patients. In UC patients without liver disease, HLA-DRB1*03 was more prevalent in pANCA-positive compared with -negative patients.Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies identified PSC patients with clinical and genetic characteristics.
HLA-DRB1*08:03:02 and HLA-DQB1 (zeige HLA-DQB1 ELISA Kits)*06:01:01 are associated with house dust mites (HMD)-sensitive AR and may confer a risk for development of allergic rhinitis in Han Chinese subjects sensitized to HDM (zeige HDAC3 ELISA Kits).
The DRB1 (zeige RBM45 ELISA Kits)*04:02 allele was associated with pemphigus vulgaris (zeige DSG3 ELISA Kits) in our study as well as in various populations. The association with HLA-DRB1*08:04 in our study was confirmed to be specific to this allele and not to linkage disequilibrium to any adjacent gene.
The autoantibody and HLA profiles of Somali children with diabetes are consistent with autoimmune diabetes. Their HLA profile is unique with an exceptionally high prevalence of DRB1*03:01 allele and relative paucity of DR4 alleles compared with African Americans with T1 diabetes.
frequencies of HLA-DRB1*03:01 (pc = 0.0378, OR = 4.8) and HLA-DQB1 (zeige HLA-DQB1 ELISA Kits)*02:01 (pc = 0.021, OR = 4.8) alleles were significantly higher in patients with JORRP than in controls. In addition, HLA-DRB1*03:01 allele significantly correlated with aggressive JORRP
association of DR4/DR8 heterozygous genotype suggested the pathologic importance of trans-complementing DQalpha-beta heterodimer molecules encoded by DQA1 allele of one haplotype and the DQB1 allele of the other haplotype, as it was proposed in the HLA association studies of Type 1 diabetes
HLA-DRB1 belongs to the HLA class II beta chain paralogs. The class II molecule is a heterodimer consisting of an alpha (DRA) and a beta chain (DRB), both anchored in the membrane. It plays a central role in the immune system by presenting peptides derived from extracellular proteins. Class II molecules are expressed in antigen presenting cells (APC: B lymphocytes, dendritic cells, macrophages). The beta chain is approximately 26-28 kDa. It is encoded by 6 exons. Exon one encodes the leader peptide\; exons 2 and 3 encode the two extracellular domains\; exon 4 encodes the transmembrane domain\; and exon 5 encodes the cytoplasmic tail. Within the DR molecule the beta chain contains all the polymorphisms specifying the peptide binding specificities. Hundreds of DRB1 alleles have been described and typing for these polymorphisms is routinely done for bone marrow and kidney transplantation. DRB1 is expressed at a level five times higher than its paralogs DRB3, DRB4 and DRB5. DRB1 is present in all individuals. Allelic variants of DRB1 are linked with either none or one of the genes DRB3, DRB4 and DRB5. There are 4 related pseudogenes: DRB2, DRB6, DRB7, DRB8 and DRB9.
