Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Biological activity of Mouse Leptin is performed in two different mouse obesity models, ob/ob and NZO. Both strains of mice were treated via intraperitoneal injection once daily at a dose of 5ug Leptin/gram body weight for a period of 14 days. Significant effects on body weight, food consumption and plasma glucose levels were observed to saline-treated controls. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.

Konzentration: 1mg/ml (OD280nm, E 0.1% = 0.201) (prior to lyophilization)

Reinigung: >97% pure (HPLC, FPLC and reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE). Endotoxin level is less than 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug). Purified by chromatographic techniques. Product is sterile filtered.

Buffer: Lyophilized from 50mM NH 4 HCO 3 , pH 8.0. Preservative: None.

Lagerung: The lyophilized product, though stable for 3 weeks at room temperature, is best stored at –20°C. After reconstitution, short term (up to 1 week) store at 2-8°C. Long term, add 0.1% HSA or BSA, aliquot and store at –20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Inactivation Not applicable
