Marke MABSol®,UltraLys
Spezifität The primary amines in the side chains of lysine residues and the N-terminus of the protein are conjugated with biotins using standard chemical labeling method. A standard biotin reagent (13.5 angstroms) is used in this product.
Produktmerkmale The product does NOT contain any epitope tags. The protein has a calculated MW of 18 kDa. The protein migrates as 19-22 kDa on a SDS-PAGE gel under reducing (R) condition due to glycosylation.
Reinheit >97 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin-Niveau Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method.
Güteklasse Ultra Sensitive
Biological Activity Comment Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human IL1R2 /CD121b Protein, C-Fc Tag (Cat# IL2-H4256) at 10 μg/mL (100 μL/well), can bind Biotinylated Human IL1a Protein, HEK293 Expressed (Cat# ILA-H8213). The EC50 is typically 0. 2-2 μg/mL.
Hintergrund Interleukin-1 alpha (IL1a) is also known as IL-1A, IL1, IL1-ALPHA,IL1F1,and is a cytokine of the interleukin-1 family. IL1a possesses a wide spectrum of metabolic, physiological, haematopoietic activities, and plays one of the central roles in the regulation of the immune responses. It binds to the interleukin-1 receptor. IL-1α is constitutively produced by epithelial cells. It is found in substantial amounts in normal human epidermis and is distributed in a 1:1 ratio between living epidermal cells and stratum corneum. The constitutive production of large amounts of IL-1α precursor by healthy epidermal keratinocytes interfere with the important role of IL-1α in immune responses, assuming skin as a barrier, which prevents the entry of pathogenic microorganisms into the body. In vitro, IL-1α possesses biological effect on cells in the picomolar to femtomolar range. In vivo, Shortly after an onset of an infection into organism, IL-1α activates a set of immune system response processes.

A chemically labeled biotinylated protein with ultra sensitivity.
The product is produced using a chemical labeling approach. The primary amines in the side chains of lysine residues and the N-terminus of protein are conjugated with biotins.
Chemical labeling usually results in multiple biotin attachment on a single protein molecule, which could potentially lead to higher detection sensitivity.
