Immunogen: A synthetic peptide derived from the C-terminus region of the human GAD65 protein.

Format: Ig-fraction, Purified

Spezifität: This antibody reacts with a 65 kD protein, known as GAD (Glutamate Decarboxylase). Two forms of GAD exist in adults, GAD65 and GAD67, which are encoded by different genes. GAD65 and GAD67 are expressed in most GABA containing neurons. GAD65 appears to be targeted to the membrane and nerve ending, where as GAD67 is more widely distributed throughout the cell. This antibody cross reacts with rat.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation conditions should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Pancreas. Buffer: Purified immunoglobulin fraction of rabbit antiserum against human GAD65 containing sodium azide as preservative.
