Spezifität: DS-PB-01753 reacts with human S-100 A and S-100 B. This protein is present in brain glial cells and in ependymal cells. DS-PB-01753 also stains Schwann cells of the peripheral nervous system. Among tumors of the human central and peripheral nervous systems, schwannomas, ependymomas and astrogliomas of different stages, including glioblastomas show positive reactions. S100 can be detected in almost all benign naevi and malignant melanocytic tumors of the skin and in Langerhans cells in the skin.
