Beschreibung
|
CEACAM5 belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily, CEA family. It contains seven Ig-like(immunoglobulin-like) domains. CEACAM5 is a cell surface glycoprotein that plays a role incell adhesion and in intracellular signaling. CEACAM5 is a homodimer. It is a receptor forE. coli Dr adhesins. Binding of E. coli Dr adhesins leads to dissociation of the homodimer. Found in adenocarcinomas of endodermally derived digestive system epithelium and fetalcolon.

The antibody reacts with a large variety of tumors with oncofetal characteristics, theantigen may also be detected in normal epithelia and tissue of nonneoplastic state. Absorption with 10 –100 µg immunogen per ml diluted antiserum abolishes staining. Species: Human. Others not tested.

Applikationshinweise
|
Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections: 1/2500 - 1/5000 using PAP, or 1/1000 - 1/2000using FITC with overnight incubation at 2-8°C. Positive Control: Bouin-fixed paraffin sections of human colon carcinomaOther applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
