Beschreibung: Catalase, also known as CAT, is both the classical marker for peroxisomes and the most abundant protein within them. It is found in almost all aerobically respiring organisms and serves to protect cells from the toxic effects of hydrogen peroxide. Defects in CAT can cause acatalasia. This disease is characterized by the absence of catalase activity in red cells and is often associated with ulcerating oral lesions.Antibodies-Online Rabbit Anti-Catalase Polyclonal Antibody is developed in rabbit hosts using a KLH-coupled synthetic peptide from N-terminal of mouse catalase protein (Swiss Prot: P24270).

Applikationshinweise: Working concentrations for specific applications should be determined by the investigator. The appropriate concentrations may be affected by secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, the sensitivity of the method of detection, temperature, the length of the incubations, and other factors.
